Introduced in the early 1990s, the USP series set the standard for modern duty pistols. This V1 variant features a left-side safety/decocker that lets the shooter carry cocked-and-locked or decock for a double-action first shot. An ambidextrous paddle magazine release adds intuitive, glove-friendly operation.
The 4.25" barrel is cold-hammer-forged from cannon-grade steel and uses polygonal rifling for long service life and easy maintenance. HK’s recoil-reduction system, positioned beneath the barrel, lessens felt recoil and slide impact, supporting faster follow-up shots.
Its black polymer frame incorporates steel reinforcing inserts and HK’s universal accessory rail for lights or lasers. The pebble-grain grip texture offers secure purchase without aggressive abrasiveness, and the spur hammer allows safe thumb control while holstering.
The slide wears a corrosion-resistant black finish and houses fixed three-dot sights that are drift adjustable for windage. German proof marks and the “BD” date code confirm 2013 production, underscoring this pistol’s authentic origin.
Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 10+1 capacity, the USP9 remains a respected choice for duty, defense, and range use—all backed by HK’s reputation for engineering excellence.
