Winchester Model 670 Sporting Rifle .270 Win Bolt-Action, 22" Barrel, 1960s Production
The Winchester Model 670 offers the classic feel of a 1960s push-feed Winchester bolt action at a more accessible price point. This early-production rifle, built in 1966–1967, features Winchester Proof Steel construction, a 22" barrel chambered in .270 Winchester, and a hardwood Monte Carlo stock with impressed checkering. With its blind four-round magazine and matte blued finish, it captures the streamlined, practical design that defined Winchester’s economy counterpart to the post-’64 Model 70.

What’s Included
- Leather military-style rifle sling (installed)
Introduced as Winchester’s budget alternative to the Model 70, the Model 670 uses the same push-feed action and many interchangeable parts, giving shooters Model 70 reliability without the premium price tag. Its blind internal box magazine keeps the bottom metal clean and reduces weight while still holding four rounds of .270 Winchester.
The 22" Winchester Proof Steel barrel is drilled and tapped for scope bases, with factory filler screws in place so you can add optics if desired. For iron-sight use, the rifle carries a hoodless ramp front sight with a pinned blade and an adjustable barrel-mounted rear leaf sight.
The Monte Carlo walnut-finished hardwood stock provides a solid cheek weld for scoped or iron-sight shooting. Impressed checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end improves handling, and factory sling-swivel studs pair with the included leather sling for easy carry in the field.
A two-position bolt-shroud safety allows straightforward, intuitive operation. The 13.5" length of pull suits most adult shooters, and the matte blued steel receiver and barrel resist glare while maintaining classic Winchester aesthetics.
