Marlin Model 1894 North Haven .44 Rem Mag Lever-Action Rifle – 2008 Production, 20-Inch Ballard-Rifled Barrel, Blued/Walnut
Built in 2008 at Marlin’s historic North Haven plant, this Model 1894 pairs classic lever-action handling with late pre-Remington craftsmanship. Chambered in .44 Remington Magnum and fitted with a 20-inch Ballard-style barrel, it delivers dependable power in a trim, full-size package. Polished blued steel, straight-grip American walnut, and cut checkering preserve the traditional look, while a cross-bolt safety and a side-eject receiver drilled and tapped for optics add modern practicality.

What’s Included
- Marlin Model 1894 North Haven .44 Rem Magnum lever-action rifle
The 20-inch carbon-steel barrel uses six-groove Ballard-style rifling and a 1:38 right-hand twist, favored for its accuracy with both jacketed and cast bullets. A 10-round tubular magazine keeps the profile compact while offering ample capacity for range or field use.
Marlin’s side-eject, solid-top receiver is polished blued steel and comes factory drilled and tapped, giving the owner an easy path to add a scope or other optic if desired. The action is the smooth, time-tested Model 1894 design, cycling .44 Magnum cartridges with the familiar short throw.
The straight-grip American walnut stock wears a satin oil finish, cut checkering for a secure hold, and a factory rubber recoil pad that tames magnum recoil without altering the rifle’s classic lines. Sling studs are installed front and rear for quick attachment of a carry sling.
Sights are traditional iron: a brass-bead ramp front (hood removed) and an elevator-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, both ideally suited for fast target acquisition in the field.
