It carries the distinctive two-piece scroll pattern found only on pre-1971 Field Grade receivers, and it has been upgraded with a Poly-Choke external adjustable choke and a Pachmayr “White Line” recoil pad for added versatility and comfort.

The Model 1100 debuted in 1963 as the first successful gas-operated sporting shotgun, and more than four million have been produced. Early guns like this 1965 example are prized for their high-polish bluing and fine walnut furniture.
This shotgun retains its factory 26" plain barrel, originally supplied with a modified choke. The installed Poly-Choke lets the shooter dial in constriction from open to extra full without changing tubes, making the gun adaptable for upland birds, trap, or small-game hunting.
The gas-operated action softens recoil and cycles standard 2 ¾" loads reliably. A cross-bolt safety sits at the rear of the trigger guard, and the plug-restricted magazine holds two shells plus one in the chamber.
Walnut furniture features pressed fleur-de-lis checkering and a pistol-grip profile. The added Pachmayr pad brings length of pull to 14.5" and further tames felt recoil, while maintaining the classic field-gun balance.
