Manufactured in Riihimäki, Finland, this rifle carries Finnish proof and inspector’s marks along with the “MADE IN FINLAND” stamp, underscoring its heritage. The serial-matching bolt and receiver reflect Sako’s attention to fit and finish during the L46 era.
The two-lug bolt features a smooth, 60-degree lift and hand-lapped contact surfaces, traits that contribute to the action’s reputation for reliability and precision. Feeding is handled by a detachable three-round steel magazine, keeping the rifle compact while still offering quick reloads.
A sporter-contour 23.6" barrel balances well for field carry and maximizes the .222 Remington’s accuracy potential. The barrel is paired with a ramped post front sight protected by a removable hood, providing a clear sight picture when optics are not installed.
The walnut Monte Carlo stock includes a cheek-piece, crisp cut checkering, and a rubber recoil pad, offering a comfortable length of pull at 14.0". It maintains the classic hunting profile while giving the shooter a stable grip and consistent cheek weld.
An integral 16 mm Sako dovetail rail is machined directly into the receiver, allowing secure scope installation with the included 1-inch rings—no additional bases required.
