DS Arms RPDS 7.62x39 Belt-Fed Semi-Automatic Rifle | 20.5" Heavy Barrel | 2016 U.S. Build
This DS Arms RPDS is a scarce, U.S-made semi-automatic clone of the iconic RPD light machine gun, assembled in 2016 and now long discontinued. It delivers classic belt-fed firepower in a closed-bolt, striker-fired format, built on a milled steel receiver and anchored by a Polish Radom 1958 trunnion for authentic Cold War lineage. A heavy 20.5-inch barrel, three-position gas regulator, and pinned folding bipod round out a package prized by shooters and collectors alike.

DS Arms produced the RPDS in limited numbers during the mid-2010s, and the model is no longer in their catalog, adding genuine rarity to this example.
The rifle’s heart is a milled steel receiver finished in matte black phosphate, paired with an original Polish Radom ’58 trunnion marked with the oval “11” factory code. This blend of modern U.S. manufacturing and historic components gives the gun authentic character.
A heavy 4140/4150 steel barrel with a smooth, non-finned profile supports sustained fire, while the factory three-port muzzle brake and threaded muzzle help manage recoil. The barrel is complimented by a three-position gas regulator and a pinned, folding bipod for field stability.
Hardwood furniture—fixed stock, vertical pistol grip, and two-piece handguard with palm swell—retains the classic RPD profile. Standard hooded front sight and tangent rear sight adjust out to 1,000 meters, preserving the original sight picture.
Feeding is through 50-round non-disintegrating belts housed in steel drums, four of which are supplied. A loose belt wrap, drum pouches, carriers, and sling complete a ready-to-run setup for the belt-fed enthusiast.
