The B-C grade adds factory engraving and cut checkering, setting it apart from the plain-field B grade while keeping weight and balance appropriate for upland hunting. The color case-hardened receiver displays the original fox head motif on the floorplate with light scrolls adorning the flanks.
Dual blued steel barrels measure 26" and wear a raised solid matted rib paired with a brass front bead, giving a clear sighting plane. Chambers are cut for standard 2 ¾" shells, and the gun relies on extractors rather than ejectors for simpler maintenance.
A manual tang safety and double triggers allow independent control of each barrel. Coil-spring internals reduce the chance of broken leaf springs and were a noted improvement in later production.
The walnut stock features a pistol grip, crisp factory checkering, a hard butt-plate, and a 14.5" length of pull. A matching beavertail forend provides a comfortable, heat-shielded grasp during extended shooting sessions.
Manufactured in the USA between 1940 and 1988, the Fox Model B-C remains one of the last mass-produced American economy side-by-sides, appreciated for its straightforward design and classic styling.
