SIG Sauer P227 Custom Shop Equinox .45 ACP Full-Size DA/SA Pistol, Two-Tone, Night Sights, 10+1
The P227 Custom Shop Equinox is a rare, limited-production variant of SIG Sauer’s double-stack .45 ACP line. Built in 2013 and discontinued after 2016, this early example combines the power of a 10-round .45 ACP platform with the Equinox series’ signature two-tone finish, polished slide flats, and upgraded night sights. Its Custom Shop pedigree, low production numbers, and distinctive cosmetics make it a standout for both shooters and SIG collectors.

Sig Sauer introduced the P227 Equinox as a Custom Shop model, blending performance upgrades with distinctive styling. The brushed stainless slide flats contrast sharply against the Nitron-finished rounds and frame, while nickel-plated controls add subtle accents.
The full-size 7075-T6 alloy frame houses a double-stack magazine for a 10+1 .45 ACP capacity—a notable increase over classic single-stack P-Series pistols. An integral Picatinny accessory rail sits forward of the trigger guard for lights or lasers.
Shooting controls follow SIG’s proven DA/SA layout with a frame-mounted decocker. The one-piece SIG E2 textured grip wraps the frame, lowering circumference for better reach to the trigger and decocker without sacrificing capacity.
Equinox models ship with enhanced day/night sights. Up front, a TruGlo TFO fiber-optic/tritium post glows in daylight and darkness; at the rear, a two-dot SIGLITE tritium sight offers a crisp, fast reference. Rear cocking serrations and polished flats deliver both traction and visual contrast.
With production halted after only a few years, the P227 Equinox sits in a small circle of SIG’s collectible modern pistols. This example, dated November 25, 2013, represents the model’s earliest run and remains in excellent overall condition.
