Introduced in 1966, the Model 670 served as Winchester’s budget-minded counterpart to the post-1964 Model 70. Approximately 287,000 rifles were produced before the line ended in 1979, making this G-prefix example part of the main production run.
The rifle uses a push-feed bolt with dual locking lugs and a 4-round blind internal magazine, simplifying the action while maintaining dependable cycling. The receiver and barrel are both chromoly steel with a uniform blued finish that retains Winchester’s period-correct look.
Its hardwood stock features a Monte Carlo comb, right-hand cheekpiece, and pressed skip-line checkering for secure grip. With a 13.25-inch length of pull, the stock offers comfortable shouldering for most shooters.
