The P226 Tactical Operations Threaded Barrel (TACOPS-TB) is a feature-packed, full-size variant of SIG Sauer’s renowned duty pistol. Built in 2016 and now discontinued, this model pairs a 4.9-inch carbon-steel barrel threaded M13.5x1 LH with a stainless slide and hard-anodized alloy frame, all finished in Black Nitron. Hogue Extreme G10 grips, a factory Short Reset Trigger, and high-visibility night sights round out a package designed for serious use and collectible appeal.

The TACOPS series adds mission-ready upgrades to the classic P226 platform. An extended beavertail enhances control during rapid strings, while the integral magwell in the G10 grips speeds reloads.
The carbon-steel barrel comes factory threaded in the left-hand M13.5x1 pattern, allowing the direct attachment of compatible muzzle devices. A protective thread cap is installed from the factory.
SIG’s Short Reset Trigger system shortens reset to roughly 0.24 inches, enabling quicker follow-up shots without sacrificing the smooth double-action/single-action mechanism. A robust decocking lever provides safe, tool-free lowering of the hammer.
For low-light confidence, the pistol ships with a TRUGLO TFO fiber-optic/tritium front sight paired with a SIGLITE two-dot tritium rear. A four-slot M1913 rail on the frame accepts lights or lasers, complementing the TACOPS’ all-business focus.
Production of the threaded TACOPS variant concluded in the early 2020s, making this 2016 example an appealing find for shooters and collectors who value factory-equipped suppressor readiness paired with SIG’s proven P226 performance.
