Race City Defense builds the RC9 on a steel frame treated with a black DLC finish for wear resistance. A one-piece aluminum grip module with square waffle texture delivers secure purchase while accepting double-stack 2011 magazines for a 20+1 on-board capacity.
The 5-inch tool-steel bull barrel is ported, flush-cut, and crowned. Paired with matching slide ports, it vents gas upward to lessen muzzle rise and keeps reciprocating mass light for faster follow-up shots.
The flat-top slide features aggressive front and rear serrations and a factory RMR-footprint optics plate with a back-up rear sight built in. A dovetail front blade rounds out the sighting system.
Internally, the pistol uses hardened steel parts sourced from Atlas Gunworks. A flat-faced trigger breaks at a crisp 2–2.5 lb, while a skeletonized hammer, thumb safety, and grip safety provide familiar 1911 controls.
An integrated Picatinny rail on the dust cover supports weapon lights or accessories, making this hand-fitted, NASCAR-engineered RC9 equally suited to competition or defensive roles.
