The Rapide’s 5-inch stainless steel barrel is TiN coated for enhanced lubricity and wear resistance, then cut with a flush target crown for optimal accuracy. Coupled with a 1:16 LH twist, it is purpose-built for consistent .45 ACP performance.
Six rectangular windows and stepped grasping serrations reduce slide mass and provide a positive grip during press checks or slide manipulation. The lightened slide cycles quickly, helping reduce muzzle rise for rapid follow-up shots.
TruGlo TFX Pro tritium/fiber-optic sights use an orange-ring front and two-dot green rear for a bright, intuitive sight picture in all lighting conditions. The sights sit atop a Black KimPro II finished slide and frame that resist corrosion and wear.
Ergonomics are enhanced with a stiplex-textured front strap, checkered mainspring housing with integral flared magwell funnel, and gray/black G10 WavZ panels. A skeletonized V-cut aluminum trigger and commander-style hammer round out the competition-oriented controls.
Operating on a single-action 1911 platform, the Rapide DN/NS retains classic grip and thumb safeties while offering an 8+1 capacity. Two additional 7-round magazines are included for versatility at the range or in competition.
