Armi Jager AP-74 .22 LR Pre-Ban Rimfire AR-15 Style Rifle – 20" Threaded Barrel, 10+1
Made in Italy and imported before the 1989 ban, this Armi Jager AP-74 pairs the familiar AR-15 profile with a simple blowback .22 LR action. Its 20-inch blued steel barrel wears an early 3-prong flash hider, and the cast aluminum receiver carries authentic A1-style sights and a fixed carry handle. Collectors value these rifles for their pre-ban status and faithful XM16E1/M16A1 styling, while shooters appreciate the low-cost rimfire fun.

What’s Included
- 1× 10-round factory steel magazine for Armi Jager AP-74
The AP-74 was Armi Jager’s first full-size rimfire clone of the M16 family. Externally, this example mirrors the early Vietnam-era XM16E1/M16A1 with its fixed carry handle, triangular polymer handguards, and black polymer stock.
Its 20" blued steel barrel is threaded and fitted with an early 3-prong flash hider, adding correct period detail while allowing easy muzzle device changes. A simple blowback action keeps operation reliable and maintenance straightforward.
The receiver is cast aluminum alloy, finished in black anodizing and marked with Italian proof marks and the EMF Co. Studio City, CA import stamp. A push-button magazine release, A1-pattern dual-aperture rear drum, and front post sight provide the familiar manual of arms.
Because it was brought into the United States before the 1989 import restrictions, this rifle is classified as pre-ban, increasing its appeal to collectors in restrictive states. Its 12.75" length of pull makes it comfortable for a wide range of shooters.
