The IC-DI line is LWRCI’s direct-impingement answer to its piston-driven M6 series, and the lower on this pistol is marked M6IC while the upper is marked IC-DI, clearly distinguishing the variant. A nickel-boron coated, keyless bolt carrier group reduces friction and simplifies cleaning, pairing with the Ni-Corr treatment on the barrel for added corrosion resistance.
The 10.5-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2-28 UNEF and paired with a 1:7 RH twist to stabilize a wide range of 5.56 NATO projectiles. LWRCI’s proprietary oval-vent free-float handguard, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, keeps weight down and heat dissipation up while providing screw-in rail sections for accessories. A continuous Picatinny rail runs the length of the monoforge upper receiver for seamless sight or optic placement.
Fully ambidextrous controls—including safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch—give left- and right-handed shooters identical ergonomics. The textured LWRCI over-molded pistol grip offers a secure hold, and the included LWRCI Skirmish-type folding front and rear sights deploy quickly when needed.
