FN SCAR 17S 7.62 NATO Semi-Auto Rifle – KDG MREX Mk II Handguard, Geissele Super SCAR Trigger, SureFire Warcomp
This customized FN SCAR 17S blends the platform’s renowned reliability with a focused set of upgrades that sharpen handling and accuracy. A Kinetic Development Group MREX Mk II M-LOK handguard extends the rail and improves ergonomics, while the Geissele Super SCAR two-stage trigger delivers a clean 4-lb break. SureFire’s Warcomp-762 muzzle device cuts flash and mitigates recoil, and Parker Mountain Machine controls plus an aftermarket left-side charging handle round out a rifle that is ready for precise, repeatable performance.

The heart of this SCAR 17S is its monolithic upper receiver, machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in matching Flat Dark Earth anodizing. A full-length numbered Picatinny rail offers uninterrupted optics mounting, while the short-stroke gas piston system keeps operation cool and clean in rapid fire.
The KDG MREX Mk II aluminum handguard extends the forend and adds M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, allowing flexible mounting of lights, bipods, and other accessories without extra weight. The free-floating 16.5-inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel is secured inside the handguard and capped with a SureFire Warcomp-762 for reduced flash signature and noticeable muzzle control.
Control enhancements from Parker Mountain Machine include enlarged bolt-catch paddles and ambidextrous safety levers, giving the shooter faster manipulation under stress. An aftermarket reversible charging handle on the left side offers additional leverage while preserving the SCAR’s pre-NRCH single-handle layout.
FN’s folding, six-position polymer stock—often called the “Ugg-boot” stock—provides length-of-pull adjustment, an adjustable cheek riser, and a rubber butt-pad. When combined with the Geissele Super SCAR two-stage trigger, the result is a well-balanced 7.62 NATO rifle that maintains the SCAR’s rugged reputation while offering refined shooter interface.
