Product Description

Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 .357 Magnum 6-inch Revolver – Pinned & Recessed, High Polish Blue

The Model 19-4 represents the final pinned-barrel and recessed-cylinder generation of Smith & Wesson’s famed K-frame .357 Magnum. Built in 1978–1979, this six-inch revolver pairs a high-polish blued carbon-steel frame with target-grade sights, trigger, and hammer. Developed with input from legendary Border Patrol Inspector Bill Jordan, the Model 19 earned a strong reputation among law-enforcement officers for its balance of power and carry weight—making this well-preserved example a standout for shooters and collectors alike.

    What’s Included

    • Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 revolver

This 19-4 retains the classic K-frame profile that made it a mainstay of American police departments from the 1960s through the early 1980s. The six-inch barrel delivers a long sight radius for precise shot placement while maintaining the nimble handling that distinguishes the Model 19 from larger N-frame magnums.

Pinned barrel and recessed cylinder chambers mark this revolver as part of the last production run before Smith & Wesson revised the design in 1982. Collectors prize these features for their historical significance and the manufacturing craftsmanship they represent.

The high-polish blued finish contrasts with the checkered Gonçalo Alves target stocks, each inset with stainless S&W medallions. The stocks fill the hand comfortably and help manage recoil during full-power .357 Magnum fire.

Sighting is handled by a pinned Baughman ramp front blade paired with a fully adjustable square-notch rear, allowing precise zeroing for duty or target loads. A smooth-face, wide target trigger and matching wide-spur hammer support confident, controlled double-action and single-action operation.
