Imported for only about a year before the July 1989 ban, it retains every original feature that later imports lost, including its under-folding steel stock, bayonet lug, flash hider, and threaded muzzle. Factory 66 production, CSI Los Angeles import marks, and its status as the only Chinese AK under-folder purpose-built for 5.56 NATO make this rifle especially desirable to collectors.

Produced at China’s Factory 66, this rifle carries the correct triangle “66” arsenal stamp alongside the CSI LA CA import mark, confirming its pre-ban provenance. Matching markings on receiver and barrel reinforce its collector appeal.
The 16.3-inch chrome-lined barrel is threaded 14×1 LH and ends with the original slant-cut flash hider, a combination rarely seen on post-ban guns. The long-stroke gas-piston action delivers proven AK reliability while accommodating the higher-velocity 5.56 NATO cartridge.
