Browning T-Bolt Grade II .22 LR Belgian Straight-Pull Bolt Rifle – 24" Barrel, 1960s Production
This Belgian-built Browning T-Bolt Grade II pairs the model’s innovative straight-pull action with a 24-inch sporter barrel produced in smaller numbers than later variants. FN’s polished blue finish, cut-checkered gloss walnut stock, and receiver-mounted micrometer aperture sight mark it as a higher-grade rimfire from the classic 1960s era. Rare today, especially without later salt-wood issues, this Grade II example offers collectors a solid platform for restoration or parts.

What’s Included
- Gloss-finished walnut Monte Carlo checkered stock section (broken)
Designed around a dual-lug straight-pull bolt with T-handle, the Browning T-Bolt cycles as quickly as a semi-auto while maintaining bolt-action accuracy. Grade II rifles received extra hand-finishing, a polished blue surface, and sharply cut checkering for a refined feel.
The 24-inch round sporter barrel was offered only during early production, adding scarcity for collectors seeking first-generation configurations from Belgium’s FN plant.
Iron sights consist of a ramped front blade and a receiver-mounted micrometer aperture rear, providing a precise sight picture without optics. No magazine is included, so the rifle currently functions as a single-shot until a correct 5- or 10-round T-Bolt magazine is sourced.
The Monte Carlo walnut stock features a pistol grip and Browning’s high-gloss finish popular in the 1960s. Although broken, the original wood and cut checkering remain, giving restorers the chance to return the rifle to its former appearance.
