The satin-nickel receiver is factory scroll-engraved on the flats and floorplate, giving this Medallion a distinctive upscale finish straight from Browning’s Custom Shop specification list. The contrast between the nickel receiver and blued barrel underscores the rifle’s premium placement within the A-Bolt lineup.
A gloss-finished walnut stock features rosewood fore-end tip, matching rosewood grip cap, and crisp skip-line checkering for secure handling. Length of pull measures 13 inches, offering a familiar fit for most shooters while complementing the rifle’s full-size profile.
The 22-inch barrel is crowned recess-cut to help protect the muzzle rifling in the field. Inside, the bore remains mirror-bright with sharp rifling, supporting both accuracy and ease of maintenance.
The A-Bolt’s two-position tang safety is paired with a bolt-unlock button, allowing the bolt to be cycled while the safety stays engaged. A four-round detachable magazine feeds the smooth, 60-degree lift bolt, renowned for its quick cycling and solid lockup.
Factory scope mounts are already installed on the receiver, so the rifle is ready for glass the moment it arrives. With its Japanese manufacture, classic .30-06 chambering, and distinctive Medallion aesthetics, this 1996 A-Bolt offers a notable blend of craftsmanship and field capability.
