The FN SCAR 17S delivers battle-proven 7.62 NATO performance in a lightweight, fully ambidextrous civilian package. This pre-2020 variant features the original reciprocating, reversible charging handle, a 16.25-inch cold-hammer-forged chrome-lined barrel, and a six-position folding stock with adjustable cheek rest. Its monolithic aluminum upper provides a continuous rail for accessories, while the short-stroke gas piston system keeps fouling to a minimum. With three 20-round magazines and its original box, this rifle offers serious capability right out of the case.

This SCAR 17S is built around FN’s rugged short-stroke gas piston action, renowned for reliability and reduced carbon buildup. The piston system, paired with a free-floating barrel, helps maintain accuracy during extended firing sessions.
The 16.25-inch barrel is cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and constructed from hardwearing steel for long service life. A quick-change barrel clamp design allows qualified users to swap barrels quickly for mission-specific needs.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch, making the rifle easy to operate from either shoulder. The reciprocating charging handle can be reversed to either side to match shooter preference.
The polymer folding stock telescopes through six positions and includes an adjustable cheek rest, letting shooters tailor length of pull and cheek weld on the fly. When folded, the rifle becomes more compact for transport and storage.
A continuous monolithic aluminum upper rail mates with folding front and rear iron sights, giving shooters a solid, uninterrupted mounting surface for preferred optics or accessories.
