Marlin Model 2000L .22 LR Bolt-Action Target Rifle – 22" Micro-Groove Barrel, Laminated UIT Stock
Built in North Haven, Connecticut during the late 1990s, the Marlin Model 2000L is the laminated-stock variant of Marlin’s 2000 Series small-bore match rifles. This example pairs a 22-inch Micro-Groove barrel with a free-floated, recessed-crown design, a two-stage trigger, and a UIT/Anschutz accessory rail, giving competitors a purpose-built platform for UIT/ISSF events and other precision rimfire disciplines.

Bore Condition: Good – The bore is clean and well-maintained with only minor wear marks.
Rifling Condition: Excellent – Sharp lands and grooves remain intact.
What’s Included
- Unbranded riflescope with fine duplex reticle (unmounted)
- Aluminum UIT-rail hand-stop with quick-detach swivel (installed)
- 1× 7-round factory steel magazine
The 22-inch carbon-steel barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling and a recessed crown to protect accuracy at the muzzle. Twin action screws anchor the receiver for consistent bedding, while the free-float channel keeps barrel harmonics predictable shot after shot.
Its grey/black laminated hardwood stock was engineered for rigidity and features an adjustable butt-plate, pistol-grip geometry, and an integrated aluminum UIT accessory rail for hand-stop or sling hardware—ideal for prone and three-position shooting.
A two-stage match trigger with a 3-pound break and an added trigger shoe offers a clean, repeatable pull. The receiver and barrel carry a satin blued finish and bear the JM proof mark, confirming original Marlin production.
Lyman aperture sight bases are in place should the buyer wish to add match iron sights; the included scope and rails provide a clear path for optics once the stock is repaired or replaced.
