Hämmerli Arms Forge H1 .22 LR 1911-Style Pistol – 5" Bull Barrel, 12+1, German-Made
The Hämmerli Arms Forge H1 brings true 1911 ergonomics to the rimfire world with a fixed 5-inch bull barrel, 12-round magazines, and German craftsmanship. Its carbon-steel barrel is pinned solidly to the frame for repeatable accuracy, while the hard-anodized aluminum frame keeps weight in check and carries a four-slot Picatinny rail for lights or lasers. Finished with a black Cerakote slide and Novak-style sights, this full-size .22 LR is built for affordable training that feels just like the center-fire original.

Released in late 2023 and showcased at SHOT Show 2024, the Forge H1 is one of the newest rimfire 1911s on the market. Manufactured by Umarex under the Hämmerli name, it bears the DE24 German proof code and benefits from stringent German quality control.
The non-tilting carbon-steel bull barrel is fixed to the frame, removing bushing movement and promoting consistent lockup. Combined with a single-action-only trigger, this design delivers crisp break points and tight groups—ideal for target work and skill building.
Controls mirror a traditional Government-model 1911: skeletonized trigger, commander-style hammer, frame-mounted thumb safety, and grip safety. The full-size grip accepts proprietary 12-round magazines, giving you two extra rounds over most rimfire 1911s without changing the feel in hand.
The black hard-anodized aluminum frame cuts weight, while the black Cerakote slide features front and rear serrations plus dovetail cuts for its Novak-style sights. An integral four-slot Picatinny rail lets you mount accessories without aftermarket parts, further expanding this pistol’s versatility.
Whether you’re looking for a low-cost training companion that mimics your center-fire 1911 or a dependable plinker with classic lines, the Forge H1 offers solid engineering, reliable German build quality, and extra-round magazines right out of the box.
