Kimber Custom LW 9 mm 1911 – Lightweight Full-Size, Match-Grade Barrel, 10+1 Capacity
The Kimber Custom LW brings 1911 heritage into a lighter package by pairing a Government-length slide with an aluminum alloy frame that trims the weight to just 31.2 oz. Its match-grade 5-inch stainless barrel, Series 70 firing system, and crisp skeletonized trigger combine for the familiar single-action feel shooters expect from Kimber’s Custom line—now in controllable 9 mm. Front fiber-optic sight, aggressive cocking serrations, and a lowered ejection port round out a pistol built for fast, confident handling.
This example is a recent-production 9 mm (serial prefix KF) and remains in very good shape with a bright, mirror-clean bore. It ships with its factory box, soft case, manual, and one extended 10-round magazine.

The aluminum Government-size frame cuts noticeable weight while retaining the balance and recoil rhythm shooters appreciate in a full-length 1911. Kimber’s KimPro II matte black finish on both frame and slide resists wear and corrosion for long-term durability.
A match-grade 5-inch stainless barrel with a 1:16 LH twist teams with a full-length guide rod and 14-lb recoil spring for consistent lock-up and smooth cycling. The Series 70-style firing system omits a firing-pin safety, preserving the classic 1911 trigger pull.
Controls include an extended beavertail grip safety with memory bump, skeletonized three-hole aluminum trigger, and skeletonized commander-style hammer. Front and rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation, while the lowered and flared ejection port enhances reliable case ejection.
Sighting is fast and straightforward: a red fiber-optic front blade draws the eye, backed by a fixed two-dot rear sight. Black synthetic double-diamond grips provide secure purchase without adding weight.
