FN FNP-45 Tactical .45 ACP Full-Size DA/SA Pistol with 5.3" Threaded Barrel, FDE Finish & Night Sights
The FNP-45 Tactical is FN’s purpose-built .45 ACP sidearm developed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol program. This full-size pistol pairs a 15-round magazine with a 5.3-inch cold-hammer-forged, threaded barrel and suppressor-height tritium night sights. Fully ambidextrous controls, an optics-cut slide, and a flat dark earth finish make this example a standout choice for shooters who want factory-ready features in a proven DA/SA platform.

Introduced in 2011, the FNP-45 Tactical is the capstone of FN’s FNP pistol line. It delivers a 15+1 capacity in .45 ACP while retaining a full DA/SA trigger with an external ring-style hammer and ambidextrous manual safety/decocker. The result is a sidearm that combines traditional trigger feel with modern service-pistol capacity.
The 5.3" stainless steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged for strength and longevity, threaded .578-28 RH for suppressor use, and paired with suppressor-height tritium 3-dot sights that remain visible over a device. A factory optics cut on the slide accepts mini-red-dot footprints; this pistol includes the FN-supplied plate for a Holosun 509T.
Both slide and polymer frame wear a flat dark earth finish that resists glare and blends with modern gear. Front and rear cocking serrations, an accessory rail, and interchangeable backstraps add practical flexibility for duty, competition, or range roles.
True to its Tactical designation, the pistol incorporates fully ambidextrous controls—magazine release, slide stop, and manual safety—making it equally functional for right- or left-handed shooters without modification.
