Product Description

    Browning B-S/S Field Grade 12 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun, 26" IC/M Chokes, 1977 Production

Built by Miroku in 1977, this Browning B-S/S Field Grade pairs classic side-by-side lines with practical field features. Fixed Improved Cylinder and Modified chokes, a non-selective single trigger, and automatic ejectors make it ready for quick follow-up shots, while modest scroll engraving and a gloss walnut stock add understated elegance. Collectible status, Japan-made quality, and very good overall condition set this example apart for shooters and Browning enthusiasts alike.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

There are light signs of wear and handling, including some surface scratches.

    What’s Included

    • Browning B-S/S Field Grade 12 Gauge shotgun

Early-production B-S/S shotguns like this one feature a non-selective single trigger, a detail discontinued on later runs. The trigger breaks both 12 gauge shells cleanly without the need to shift a selector, streamlining operation in the field.

The 26-inch “special steel” barrels wear a matted solid rib and fixed Improved Cylinder and Modified chokes, ideal for upland birds and general hunting. A brass bead front sight offers a clear index without cluttering the sight picture.

Automatic ejectors kick spent shells clear when the break-action opens, speeding reloads. A tang-mounted safety sits naturally under the thumb, and the action locks up on a steel receiver finished in deep blue with modest factory scroll engraving.

Furniture is cut from walnut, finished in a glossy varnish, and checkered at the pistol grip and beavertail forend for secure purchase. Length of pull measures 14.0" to a steel butt-plate, giving most shooters a comfortable fit.

Birmingham-style NP proofs and “MADE IN JAPAN” marks confirm Miroku manufacture, while serial number 13706 A 37 places production firmly in 1977. Overall, this is a well-preserved, collectible field gun that remains fully ready for use.
