Plainfield M1 Carbine .30 Carbine Semi-Auto Rifle, Early W-Prefix Commercial Production (1962-1965)
Built during Plainfield Machine Co.’s first production run, this W-prefix M1 Carbine blends U.S.-GI surplus components with new-made parts for a faithful recreation of the wartime classic. Chambered in .30 Carbine, it features an 18-inch 4140 steel barrel, a walnut stock set, and a gas-operated short-stroke piston system that maintains full parts interchangeability with original military carbines. An aftermarket three-screw accessory rail is clamped to the underside of the barrel, giving this collectible rifle discreet modern utility without altering its classic lines.
