This Match 54 is built around Anschutz’s legendary 54 action, identifiable by the triangular “ANSCHÜTZ” logo and Ulm antler proof on the receiver. The rear-locking bolt runs smoothly in a wide loading port, simplifying single-round placement during position shooting.
The 26-inch heavy barrel is cut from chrome-moly steel and finished in deep blue. A recessed crown protects the rifling, while the clean bore and well-defined lands maintain the accuracy for which these rifles are known.
An externally adjustable two-stage trigger lets the shooter fine-tune pull weight and sear engagement without disassembly. This trigger design was a benchmark for competitive rimfire rifles throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
The oil-finished walnut stock provides a 13.25-inch length of pull, a rollover cheekpiece, and a deep pistol grip that promotes consistent hand placement. A 10 mm UIT accessory rail in the forend accommodates hand stops or sling mounts for prone, kneeling, or standing positions.
