Kimber Stainless Pro Carry Series I .45 ACP Compact 1911 Pistol
This early-production Kimber Stainless Pro Carry Series I blends classic 1911 handling with a lightweight alloy frame and a 4-inch ramped bull barrel. Built before the Series II firing-pin safety was introduced, it retains the clean trigger pull collectors prize while weighing roughly 28 ounces. Factory skeletonized controls and a pair of Pachmayr Gripper wrap-around stocks give this compact .45 a fast, controllable feel in the hand.

The Series I production, denoted by the “KR0-” serial prefix, omits the later Swartz firing-pin safety, keeping the traditional 1911 lockup and a crisp single-action trigger. An adjustable, skeletonized aluminum trigger further refines pull weight and over-travel.
The 4-inch bull, bushing-less barrel is fully ramped for reliable feed support with modern hollow-points. Its 1:16 left-hand twist complements the .45 ACP cartridge and, paired with the lowered and flared ejection port, promotes consistent extraction.
A 7075-T7 aluminum alloy frame finished in satin silver drops carry weight while maintaining rigidity. The slide is stainless steel with a matte satin polish and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Factory upgrades include an extended beavertail grip safety, skeletonized commander-style hammer, and fixed dovetail sights—a serrated black rear and post front—for a clear sight picture under varied lighting.
Custom Pachmayr Gripper wrap-around rubber stocks add finger grooves and a tacky texture, enhancing control during rapid strings without altering the pistol’s slim, single-stack profile.
