Heritage’s 4.75 inch barrel length preserves the balanced feel and quick pointability of the original frontier revolvers, making this Rough Rider comfortable to handle on the range or around camp.
The alloy-steel barrel and cylinder wear a uniform black-oxide satin finish that resists glare and provides a clean, traditional appearance. A matching zinc-alloy frame keeps weight down without sacrificing the familiar full-size grip profile.
Shooting is straightforward and safe thanks to the single-action mechanism and a manual hammer-block safety lever, complemented by a half-cock notch for loading. Fixed sights—a barrel-integral blade up front and a top-strap notch at the rear—deliver a simple, rugged sight picture.
Maintenance is easy: pull the knurled base pin to remove the six-shot cylinder for quick cleaning or caliber swaps (additional cylinders not included). The gun’s affordable MSRP and low-cost .22 LR chambering make extended range sessions budget friendly.
