F.lli Pietta machines the frame, barrel, and cylinder from blued steel, giving this revolver the durability and authentic appearance collectors expect. The blued finish is even and well-executed, contrasting with the brass trigger guard for a period-correct look.
The 8-inch octagonal barrel delivers a long sight radius and balances well in the hand, while the fixed blade front sight and frame notch rear sight match the original military pattern.
A one-piece walnut grip fills the hand comfortably and completes the historically accurate profile. The external hammer and single-action lockwork are crisp, providing the familiar handling characteristics of the 1858 design.
Modern CIP “PN” proofs from the Gardone proof house confirm that this revolver meets current safety standards for black-powder shooting, offering peace of mind to shooters and reenactors who plan to fire it.
