Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW .300 BLK AR-Pistol – 7" Barrel, Maxim Defense Brace, Ambi Controls
The Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW packs 300 BLK performance into a compact, maneuverable AR-pistol platform. A cold-hammer-forged 7-inch barrel, full-strength 7075-T6 receivers, and ambidextrous controls make this factory-built PDW notable for shooters who want proven durability in a small footprint. Introduced at SHOT Show 2020 as Daniel Defense’s first PDW entry, it balances reliability, suppression-ready threading, and a telescoping Maxim Defense brace in a package that starts at just 20.75 inches overall length.

The heart of this PDW is its 7-inch CMV steel barrel. Daniel Defense cold-hammer forges the blank, chrome-lines the bore, and finishes the exterior in phosphate for superior wear and corrosion resistance. A 1:7 twist stabilizes the full spectrum of .300 AAC Blackout bullet weights, and the 5/8-24 muzzle threads are ready for a suppressor or brake.
Receivers are precision-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, then Type III hard-coat anodized for a uniform matte-black finish. The MFR XL 6.0 free-float handguard, also 6061-T6 aluminum, offers M-LOK slots along its length plus a continuous, T-marked Picatinny top rail that meets the upper receiver without interruption.
An ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle with gas-deflection ports pairs with an ambidextrous safety selector, giving left- and right-handed shooters identical control access. The Maxim Defense CQB brace provides five length settings and an enhanced buffer system engineered for short-barreled reliability.
Factory-installed Magpul MBUS flip-up sights deliver out-of-the-box aiming capability, while the forged lower accepts any standard AR-15 magazine. Unloaded, the pistol weighs just 5.7 pounds, making it easy to carry or stow.
