The Scout Squad series shortens the standard M1A barrel to 18 inches, reducing weight and swing distance while preserving the platform’s accuracy and durability. The carbon-steel barrel uses a 1:11 RH twist and wears a multi-port muzzle brake that tempers recoil and muzzle rise.
An oil-finished American walnut stock and matching handguard give the rifle a traditional appearance, complemented by a parkerized steel receiver. Integral cooling ribs in the handguard aid heat dissipation during extended strings of fire.
A forward Picatinny rail sits ahead of the action, letting you mount intermediate-eye-relief optics without altering the receiver. For iron-sight purists, the rifle retains the NM .062" blade front sight and adjustable GI aperture rear sight that make the M1A platform easy to zero and precise at distance.
