This Para Ordnance Expert Commander brings together a lightweight aluminum-alloy frame with a black-nitride stainless slide and a match-grade 4.25-inch stainless barrel. Built in the final Charlotte, NC production run before Para merged with Remington (serial prefix “K0”), it offers classic 1911 handling in a carry-friendly Commander length. After-market wrap-around rubber grips, a flared magazine-well funnel, and bright fiber-optic sights add practical enhancements without changing the pistol’s proven Para DNA.

The Commander-length 4.25-inch match-grade stainless barrel delivers full-power .45 ACP performance while shaving weight and improving balance compared with full-size Government models. The black-nitride slide is heat-treated to roughly 64 HRC for added surface hardness and corrosion resistance.
Anodized aluminum-alloy construction keeps the frame light, and a flared aluminum magazine-well funnel speeds reloads without adding bulk. Inside, a machined tool-steel extractor and Para’s proven single-action fire-control group support reliable operation.
The pistol wears wrap-around rubber grips with finger grooves for secure purchase, complemented by a skeletonized match-style trigger and hammer that reduce lock-time. An extended thumb safety and beavertail grip safety maintain traditional 1911 ergonomics with modern comfort.
Sighting is quick thanks to a green fiber-optic front blade paired with a fixed two-dot rear. Together, these sights provide a bright, easily indexed sight picture in varied lighting.
Produced between 2013 and 2015, this Para Expert Commander represents the final evolution of Para’s U.S.-made 1911s, offering collectors and shooters alike a refined, feature-rich pistol ready for range or carry.
