Produced by Miroku in Japan, this High Grade rifle carries the serial prefix “JW100H,” marking it as part of the official centennial run. Early production numbers (1–1000) matched the scarcer Custom Grade companion rifles, enhancing collector appeal.
The steel receiver wears a nickel-nitride finish that resists corrosion while giving a classic silver-gray hue. Factory engraving covers both sides with scrollwork, John Wayne portraits, his signature, and themed banners, all applied before plating for crisp detail.
An 18.5-inch barrel and full-length tubular magazine mirror the carbine Wayne favored on film. The large-loop lever, saddle ring on the right receiver, and straight-grip stock further replicate the iconic configuration, while the nine-round capacity in .44-40 Win. keeps it true to period cartridge choice.
American walnut furniture features an oil finish and an inlaid John Wayne medallion. Traditional iron sights include a brass bead front and ladder-style carbine rear, giving shooters authentic sight pictures.
