This first-generation M&P9 Shield pairs the platform’s slim, 9mm performance with factory California compliance features. It omits the external thumb safety while adding a tactile loaded-chamber indicator and magazine disconnect, giving shooters a minimalist control layout that still meets state requirements. Lightly used and showing only superficial wear, this striker-fired micro-pistol comes with both flush-fit and extended magazines, making it ready for discreet carry or range drills.

The Shield’s 3.1" stainless steel barrel carries Smith & Wesson’s Armornite treatment, providing corrosion resistance and a uniform black finish that matches the slide.
At just under an inch wide, the single-stack frame remains easy to conceal while delivering an 8+1 capacity with the extended magazine. The early-pattern grip texture offers a secure hold without excessive abrasion against clothing.
Striker-fired operation delivers a consistent trigger pull, aided by a hinged two-piece trigger with a short, audible reset. Internal safety components include an articulated trigger safety and striker block.
Three-dot steel sights come dovetailed front and rear for durability and straightforward replacement if desired. Rear-only cocking serrations and serial prefix "HZT" place this pistol in the Shield’s early production range.
