The HK P30L V3 combines Heckler & Koch’s proven engineering with a long-slide 4.45-inch barrel that delivers a stretched sight radius and added velocity. Built in Germany in 2009 (proof code “AK”), this DA/SA variant features a spurred hammer with rear decocker, an endurance-tested cold-hammer-forged barrel, and a modular grip system that lets the shooter fine-tune ergonomics across 27 size combinations. Luminous 3-dot sights, ambidextrous slide releases, and the paddle-style magazine release round out a design that has earned both duty and cinematic fame.

The V3 trigger system offers a smooth double-action pull for the first shot and a crisp single-action break thereafter, while a rear-mounted decocker safely lowers the hammer as needed. HK’s cold-hammer-forged barrel features polygonal rifling, an O-ring tensioning system, and a recessed crown for enhanced accuracy and extended service life. The extractor also doubles as a loaded chamber indicator for quick status checks.
The glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame houses interchangeable backstraps and side panels, allowing 27 possible grip configurations. Combined with the long slide, the modular grip promotes steady sight alignment and manageable recoil.
Finished in a black nitro-carburized coating, the slide sports front and rear serrations for positive manipulation. Luminous 3-dot sights provide clear targeting in varied light conditions, and the external hammer’s pronounced spur ensures sure-handed cocking when desired.
