FN crafts the 16-inch barrel from 4150 CMV steel using the same cold-hammer-forging process applied to U.S. military barrels. Chrome lining and HP/MPI inspection ensure durability under sustained use, while the 1:7 rifling stabilizes the full range of 5.56 NATO projectile weights.
The Hodge-designed wedge-lock free-float handguard attaches securely to the 7075-T6 aluminum receiver, offering rock-solid M-LOK slots for accessories without adding excess weight. A mid-length gas system paired with an H1 buffer softens recoil and promotes reliable cycling.
California compliance is achieved through the AR Maglock fixed-magazine release device and a pinned SureFire ProComp 556 muzzle brake, creating a feature-rich rifle that remains legal in restrictive jurisdictions. The rifle ships with a 10-round magazine and retains a manual safety selector.
Ergonomics are enhanced by a FAB Defense six-position collapsible stock featuring a rubber butt-pad and QD sling sockets, complemented by a Hogue-style rubberized finger-groove pistol grip that offers a secure, comfortable hold during extended sessions.
