The heart of this build is Remington’s 870 TAC-14 receiver and 14-inch cylinder-bore barrel, factory-configured for a 5+1 tubular magazine. Twin action bars ensure smooth, positive cycling, while the matte black oxide finish on the carbon-steel receiver and barrel resists glare and corrosion.
The Magpul MOE M-LOK forend provides a textured grip and slots for mounting lights or other accessories without adding bulk. The Mesa Tactical adapter replaces the traditional 870 stock interface with an AR-type receiver extension, allowing use of the included brace and opening the door to further customization.
A Hogue rubber-overmold pistol grip offers a secure, cushioned hold that complements the brace when managing 12-gauge recoil. The SB Tactical stabilizing brace delivers an additional point of contact and is constructed from lightweight polymer with a Velcro strap for user adjustment.
Factory features such as the brass bead front sight, fixed cylinder bore, and 2 ¾"/3" chamber preserve the TAC-14’s practicality for defensive or range roles. Serial prefix RF0 indicates current-production Ilion manufacture.
