Browning Maxus Mossy Oak Duck Blind 12 Ga 28" – 2009 First-Gen, Gas-Operated Semi-Auto
This first-generation Browning Maxus was manufactured in 2009 and wears the full Mossy Oak Duck Blind camouflage from muzzle to buttstock. Built around Browning’s Power Drive gas system and Lightning trigger, it offers fast cycling, reduced recoil, and a crisp pull. Chambered for 2 ¾", 3", or 3 ½" 12-gauge loads and fitted with a 28" chrome-lined, vent-rib barrel, this shotgun combines modern engineering with proven Browning reliability—all in excellent condition with only light evidence of prior handling.

The Maxus debuted in 2009, and this early production example features the Power Drive gas system with a rotating bolt head for reliable cycling across a wide range of loads. Browning’s Speed Load Plus strips the first shell from the magazine directly into the chamber, while the magazine cut-off allows quick unloading without cycling the action.
The 28" steel barrel is chrome-lined, back-bored, and fitted with a vent rib topped by a brass bead. It accepts Browning’s Invector-Plus choke system, and two flush chokes are included. A Vector Pro forcing cone further smooths the shot column, enhancing pattern consistency.
The lightweight aluminum-alloy receiver and composite stock share the Mossy Oak Duck Blind camouflage pattern for full-coverage concealment. Browning’s Inflex recoil pad, textured grip panels, and factory sling-swivel studs add practical field features without extra weight.
Trigger press is handled by Browning’s Lightning trigger group, designed for a short reset and a clean break. A Speed-Lock latch secures the fore-end without tools, making routine maintenance fast and straightforward.
