Marlin Model 336W .30-30 Lever-Action Rifle | 20" Micro-Groove Barrel, JM-Marked 2009 Production
Built in 2009 at Marlin’s North Haven, Connecticut plant, this JM-marked Model 336W pairs classic .30-30 lever-action heritage with cost-conscious features that made it a popular big-box retailer exclusive. A 20-inch Micro-Groove barrel, birch hardwood furniture, and distinctive gold-colored trigger give this rifle a look and feel that stands out, while the solid-top receiver comes factory drilled and tapped for scope bases. Collectors and hunters alike value late North Haven production guns for their fit, finish, and smooth cycling action.

What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336W .30-30 lever-action rifle
The 336W uses Marlin’s time-tested lever action with a side-eject, solid-top receiver that keeps spent cases clear of an optic and allows easy scope mounting on the factory drill-and-tap pattern.
Its 20-inch carbon-steel barrel features Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling—12 shallow lands designed to reduce fouling and deliver consistent accuracy with .30-30 hunting loads. The 1:10 right-hand twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights common to the caliber.
Birch hardwood stock and fore-end keep weight manageable while maintaining durability in the field. Pressed checkering offers a positive grip, and sling-swivel studs are already installed for quick attachment of a carry sling.
A cross-bolt safety adds an extra layer of security without interfering with the rifle’s traditional hammer design. The gold-colored trigger—unique to the 336W economy variant—adds a visual touch that sets this model apart from standard 336 offerings.
Iron sights include a hooded ramp front and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, giving shooters a proven sight picture for woods hunting or range work straight out of the box.
