Colt produced this limited edition at its West Hartford, Connecticut Custom Shop, marking the slide with the Special Forces crest and the motto “THE QUIET PROFESSIONAL.” A serial suffix “EGA” and U.S. property-style roll marks further distinguish the run.
The pistol features a forged stainless steel frame and slide coated in desert-tan Cerakote. Front and rear cocking serrations, a 5-slot 1913 Picatinny rail, and G10 desert-camouflage ripple-texture grips deliver practical control surfaces without compromising the collector appeal.
Performance is anchored by a 5.75 in. KKM Precision match-grade threaded barrel paired with Colt’s Dual Spring Recoil System. The single-action Series 80 fire control group retains the classic 1911 trigger feel while adding a firing-pin safety.
Low-light aiming is handled by Trijicon three-dot night sights (2015 date codes) set in dovetail cuts. A skeletonized spur hammer, extended thumb safety, and beavertail grip safety round out the duty-grade controls.
