The 2024-era Prodigy Comp AOS merges Springfield Armory’s forged-steel 1911 heritage with modern double-stack capacity and an integral two-port compensator. Finished in factory Coyote Brown Cerakote and built around a bull-profile, match-grade barrel, this second-generation Prodigy (serial range NMH29xxx) adds updated extractor geometry, an Agency Optic System slide cut, and a detachable flared mag-well—delivering competition-ready speed in a duty-tough package.

The forged carbon-steel slide features forward lightening cuts, a top window, and aggressive front and rear cocking serrations, all protected by the same Coyote Brown Cerakote applied to the frame. The AOS multi-plate interface accepts popular reflex sights and ships with a steel adapter plate installed, enabling fast optic changes without gunsmithing.
Springfield’s 5-inch forged stainless match barrel is ported and integrally compensated, reducing muzzle rise while maintaining factory reliability. The flat-faced, skeletonized trigger breaks clean in single-action-only mode, complemented by a beavertail grip safety and ambidextrous thumb safety for intuitive control.
A polymer double-stack grip module blends 1911 ergonomics with a 17+1 on-board capacity. The detachable flared mag-well speeds reloads, while an integral Picatinny rail supports weapon-mounted lights or accessories.
Bright green fiber-optic front and black serrated rear sights provide a crisp aiming picture out of the box.
