Released in 2012, the SR22 was Ruger’s answer to a modern, lightweight rimfire trainer. This example carries the 365- serial prefix, dating it to 2015 production in Mayodan, North Carolina.
The pistol operates in double-action/single-action blowback fashion and uses an exposed spur hammer. An ambidextrous thumb safety doubles as a decocker, while an ambidextrous magazine release supports both right- and left-handed shooters.
The 3.5-inch stainless, button-rifled barrel is non-threaded for maximum rigidity and accuracy. A black-anodized aluminum slide features front and rear serrations for easy manipulation.
User-adjustable three-dot sights—fixed front and fully adjustable rear—allow precise zeroing. Interchangeable rubberized grip sleeves tailor the grip circumference, and the integral three-slot Picatinny rail accepts lights or lasers.
At just 17.5 ounces unloaded, this SR22 balances lively handling with reliable Ruger build quality, making it a practical rimfire companion for training or casual target work.
