Staccato built the CS v3 around a forged 7075-T6 aluminum frame that keeps weight low while maintaining 2011 durability. The hard-coat anodized frame carries a single-slot accessory rail for lights or lasers.
The black DLC-coated slide features forward and rear cocking serrations plus pill-shaped relief cuts that reduce reciprocating mass. Inside, a stainless steel, bull, bushing-less barrel pairs with a tool-less dual-spring recoil system for reliability across loads.
Controls mirror full-size 1911 ergonomics: an ambidextrous thumb safety, grip safety, and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer. The curved, three-slot trigger breaks at approximately 4 pounds for a crisp, consistent pull.
Sighting is fast thanks to a red fiber-optic Dawson Precision front blade and a serrated square-notch rear set in dovetail cuts. A small U.S. flag roll mark on the slide underscores its American manufacture.
