Ruger Precision Rifle Gen 1 .243 Win – 26" Threaded Barrel with Aftermarket Three-Port Muzzle Brake
This first-generation Ruger Precision Rifle delivers long-range accuracy in a modern chassis system and comes chambered in the flat-shooting .243 Winchester. Built around Ruger’s in-line recoil path and free-float Samson KeyMod handguard, it features a 26-inch cold-hammer-forged 5R barrel, an adjustable folding stock, and an aftermarket three-port muzzle brake that tames recoil while preserving the rifle’s factory threading. Early 2016 production adds collector appeal to this well-kept, highly configurable rifle.

What’s Included
- Original Ruger factory box
The 26-inch 4140 chrome-moly barrel is cold-hammer-forged with 5R rifling and a 1:7.7" right-hand twist for consistent down-range performance. Its factory 5/8-24 TPI threads now host a three-port muzzle brake that reduces muzzle rise and maintains compatibility with other 5/8-24 devices.
Ruger’s two-piece receiver blends a 4140 steel upper with a 7075-T6 aluminum lower, delivering rigidity where it matters and weight savings where it counts. The in-line recoil path feeds directly into the folding MSR stock, promoting straight-back recoil and faster follow-up shots.
The rifle retains all hallmark Gen 1 features—Samson 15-inch free-float KeyMod handguard, multi-magazine interface compatible with AICS and SR-25/PMAG LR patterns, and the bolt shroud’s onboard tool storage. The three-lug, 70° lift bolt sports an oversized knob for easy manipulation.
Shooter-centric refinements include the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger with onboard adjustment wrench, ambidextrous reversible safety lever, QD sling cups, Picatinny monopod rail, and an AR-style pistol grip. All metal surfaces wear a Type III hard-coat anodized black finish.
