The star feature is the 20-inch 416R stainless heavy barrel. Fluting reduces weight and improves heat dissipation, while the 1:8 RH twist stabilizes the wide range of 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights favored for long-range accuracy. The barrel is threaded 5/8-24 and capped with Diamondback’s own three-port muzzle brake, taming recoil and muzzle rise for faster follow-up shots.
Diamondback builds this rifle on forged 7075-T6 receivers finished with a black hard-coat anodize. The dust cover is stenciled “6.5 CREEDMOOR,” and the serial prefix “DB” confirms its DB10 lower receiver pedigree. A rifle-length direct-impingement gas system promotes smoother cycling and reduced parts wear compared with shorter systems on similar AR-10 builds.
The 15-inch free-float aluminum handguard uses the M-LOK attachment system with QD sling cups and a continuous Picatinny top rail, providing ample real estate for optics, lights, and other accessories. Anti-rotation tabs lock the handguard solidly in place.
Furniture includes a six-position collapsible polymer stock and a Magpul MOE pistol grip, giving the shooter an adjustable length of pull and familiar, ergonomic handling. With two magazines and an installed Magpul bipod, this Sports South Exclusive arrives ready for the range or field.
