What’s Included
- CVA Kentucky Percussion Pistol (.45 Caliber)
Built on a one-piece hardwood stock with a bird’s-head grip, this pistol offers the traditional feel favored by black-powder enthusiasts. The blued steel barrel is rifled and paired with fixed iron sights— a small blade front and rear V-notch integral to the tang— for a sight picture true to the original design.
The external hammer uses #11 percussion caps for ignition, and the single-shot action echoes the simplicity of frontier sidearms. Brass furniture, including the nosecap, ramrod pipes, trigger guard, and ramrod tip, contrasts with the blued barrel and case-colored lock plate for a classic presentation.
Factory engraving on the lock plate adds subtle visual interest without overwhelming the authentic lines. As a full-size black-powder pistol, it remains a solid choice for historical reenactment, target shooting with patched round balls, or display in a period collection.
Produced between the 1970s and 1990s, this Spanish reproduction carries serial number prefix 0049, confirming its run among CVA’s long-standing Kentucky series.
