Steyr Arms AUG A3 M1 High-Rail 5.56 NATO Bullpup Semi-Automatic Rifle – Mud Brown, 16" Barrel, 30+1
The Steyr AUG A3 M1 High-Rail brings the iconic Austrian bullpup design into U.S. production, pairing a compact 28-inch overall length with a full 16-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel. Built in Bessemer, Alabama for 922(r) compliance, this modern variant features a high 16-slot Picatinny top rail, adjustable two-position gas system, and the quick-change barrel assembly that made the AUG famous. Its mud-brown polymer stock and translucent magazine give the rifle a distinctive look while maintaining rugged functionality.

Steyr’s bullpup layout places the action behind the trigger, giving this AUG A3 M1 a 16-inch barrel while staying under 30 inches overall—ideal for confined spaces without sacrificing velocity.
The high-rail configuration provides a 16-slot Picatinny platform for optics and integrates accessory rails at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, allowing lights, lasers, or additional grips to be mounted without modification.
A cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel delivers long service life and easy maintenance. The tool-less quick-change system lets the user swap barrels or calibers in seconds.
The short-stroke gas-piston system includes an adjustable two-position regulator to accommodate varied ammunition or suppressor use, and the non-reciprocating, folding charging handle keeps the shooter’s hand clear under fire.
Constructed with a hard-anodized aluminum receiver and mud-brown polymer stock, this U.S.-built AUG maintains parts commonality with Austrian originals while meeting domestic compliance requirements.
