Built in Sig Sauer’s Custom Shop, this pistol is part of a limited run produced in July 2016 and tailored to Max Michel’s USPSA Single-Stack competition needs. The factory uses hand-fit barrel lock-up, an EGW sear, and a Koenig speed hammer to deliver a crisp, reliable single-action break.
The slide wears a durable black Nitron finish and features both forward and rear cocking serrations for easy manipulation. An external extractor adds modern reliability, while the 5-inch barrel maintains traditional 1911 sight radius and ballistics.
The natural stainless frame provides 26 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing for positive grip. A Dawson Precision ICE flared magwell speeds reloads, and textured G10 Chainlink grip panels complete the secure handling package.
Sighting is fast thanks to a red fiber-optic front blade paired with a fully adjustable Bo-Mar-pattern rear sight. The solid aluminum trigger breaks at approximately 5 lb, and the skeletonized competition hammer promotes rapid follow-up shots.
Weighing about 41.6 oz unloaded, this two-tone 1911 balances competition-ready stability with classic ergonomics, all in a caliber that makes Major power factor while remaining soft enough for fast splits.
