Introduced as part of the Fieldmaster line, this Model 870 variant receives an improved internal polish that delivers notably smoother cycling compared with earlier 870 Express guns. The pump action runs on dual action bars and retains the Model 870’s reputation for strength and reliability.
The 21-inch carbon-steel barrel features a vent rib topped with a white bead front sight for quick target alignment. Chambered for both 2 ¾- and 3-inch 20 gauge shells, it uses the Rem Choke system and ships with Full and Modified tubes, making it adaptable for everything from clay targets to field birds.
An American walnut stock and matching forend wear a satin oil finish with sharp checkering for a secure grasp. The youth-length stock measures 12.75 inches at the recoil pad, providing a comfortable fit for younger shooters or adults who prefer a more compact length of pull. A rear sling swivel stud comes installed for easy carry afield.
The matte black oxide treatment on the carbon-steel receiver and barrel resists corrosion while minimizing glare. The receiver is drilled and tapped to accept accessory bases, and its “RAS” serial prefix with QR code identifies current-production RemArms manufacture.
Standard controls include a cross-bolt safety at the rear of the trigger guard and a smooth, grooved slide release ahead of the trigger. Capacity is 4 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber, meeting many hunting regulations while keeping the package light and balanced.
